Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV) was established in 1983. The University has a student population of nearly 5000 and an academic staff of around 250. It offers 59 courses at the post-graduate and undergraduate level. Apart from Technology Business Incubator (SSIIE-TBI) SPMVV has Rural Women Technology Park (RWTP), TePP OutReach cum Cluster Innovation Centre (TOCIC) funded by DSIR-PRISM, Institution & Innovation Council (IIC) , Skill Development Centre, DST- Curie-AI Centre and BioNest. United Nations Asian and Pacific Training centre for Information and Communication Technology (UN-APCICT) has identified SPMVV as the Training of Trainers (TOT) Centre for “Women and ICT Frontier Initiative (WIFI), the only centre in India.
Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam and the National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB) of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India have collaborated to establish TBI in SPMVV University under the aegis of SSIIE (SPMVV Society for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship). SSIIE-TBI is one of its kind across the country having been established in the Government Sector and in the Women’s University. The major objective of technology business incubator is not only to facilitate in the setting up of start-ups which are technology-based and knowledge-driven but also to nurture their growth by providing them with the necessary platform required for their growth and establishment as successful enterprises.
Conduct motivational talks to encourage technology based ventures with social and strategic bearings.

Organize events for our incubate companies to help them exhibit their products and solutions for Commercialization.
Conduct training programmes to students and innovators on different Government programmes & Schemes (apply for loans and draw benefits from different schemes)
Incubate early stage entrepreneurial ventures based on technology and innovation.

SSIIE-TBI is the first of its kind in this region as this is the only TBI specially committed for rural womenfolk. The Host University has got the potential to connect rural entrepreneurs to urban business environment. SSIIE-TBI will serve as platform for commercialize university research. Tirupati area is host of 7 universities and approximately 22 engineering colleges from private sector which are producing young entrepreneur with technology base. SSIIE-TBI will serve as a bridge between the entrepreneurs, technologists and venture capitalists. The overall business ecosystem around SSIIE-TBI is very demanding being surrounded by many multinational industries and well connected transport amenities. SSIIE-TBI will provides a vibrant ecosystem and cater to the demands of start-ups.
